Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in chemical and industrial engineering and an MBA from Instituto Politecnico Nacional in 1976, Ms. Trillanes dedicated herself to the Mexican Army, specializing in explosives for over a decade. Subsequently, she began a career in the private sector, working for Industrias Resistol and GE Plastics Mexico as a sales manager from 1984 until 2001, when her career brought her to the United States. Over the next 16 years, Ms. Trillanes gained valuable expertise with GE Plastics as a platform manager, automotive product manager, and global product manager, and with GE Transportation as a product manager and executive product leader until 2017.
Drawing on her considerable expertise, Ms. Trillanes began working for HGmotive (formerly known as CNGmotive) in 2017. In the ensuing years three years, she climbed the ranks due to her strategic vision, strong business acumen, and drive, working as components project director and business manager in Alston, NY. In 2023 she was named chief commercial officer for HGmotive. Through her current role, she aims to reduce locomotive emissions by substituting hydrogen and RNG as fuels. In conjunction with her work, Ms. Trillanes contributes to her community through local food banks, and volunteers with Be A Santa for the Elderly, which delivers handmade Christmas gifts, and with the United Way and PKD Foundation.
Given her professional achievements, Ms. Trillanes earned a Medal of Honor from the Mexican Army in 1982 and a Management Award from General Electric from 2016 to 2020. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in being asked to join General Electric in the United States and reduce emissions in her new role with HGmotive. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she attributes her success to her mother, a biochemist, and her grandfather. Within the next five years, she aims to continue working toward zero emissions in the long-haul railroad industry. Ultimately, Ms. Trillanes aims to impart her knowledge and experience to the next generation of industry professionals.
