MASON, TX, April 05, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Timothy A. White with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. White celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. White has been the president of Texas Healthy Homes since 2020, a company recognized nationally and internationally for building natural systems and providing better alternatives to stick frame systems. Relying on low-carbon-footprint materials and energy-efficient building systems, the company strives to create healthy, highly energy-efficient living environments for individuals while educating industry professionals about the importance of safe and healthy materials. Additionally, Mr. White is an instructor for the national format, Hemp Build School Mastermind.
As a pioneer in bringing natural, historic building materials back to the forefront, Mr. White is proud to focus his efforts as a natural builder. He also understands the importance of competitive building material prices. Among his latest accomplishments, he built a 2,400-square-foot home using hempcrete, which is made from the woody core of hemp, for all the exterior and interior partition walls. Additionally, he installed a wood tongue and groove ceiling rather than drywall. Among other natural materials, Mr. White added American clay over the lime on the walls. The project notably earned him and his team recognition with a U.S. Hemp Building Association 2022-2023 Award.
Looking toward the future, Mr. White intends to revitalize the use of recycled glass as sand in his material, a market he has witnessed disappear over the past two decades. He also remains dedicated to sharing his extensive knowledge and expertise with other building professionals to increase their knowledge base around using natural building systems in the marketplace.
Mr. White honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps to the rank of corporal from 1986 to 1990. He later succeeded as the owner of Mountain Stream Builders LLC in Colorado between 1997 and 2006 and Safe Health Homes in Texas as an independent business owner from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, Mr. White was employed by American Clay Enterprises LLC in New Mexico in the research and development department of education programs from 2006 to 2010.
Mr. White graduated from Luther College in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology and biology. He later received traditional lime mason training through the U.S. Heritage Group Inc. in 2007.
