Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, he also served as a keynote speaker at international conferences in the fields of food processing, nutrition, food microbiology and safety, biotechnology, and biopharmaceuticals and contributed to various articles in professional journals and books. Additionally, Dr. Ibrahim consistently worked as a consultant for start-up and established companies worldwide and has obtained several patents for intracellular protenacious antimicrobial agents, processes for manufacturing D-tagatose and a process for manufacturing glucosone.
An expert in his field, Dr. Ibrahim earned a Bachelor of Agriculture Science in biochemistry and a Master of Science in applied microbiology from Cairo University in 1963 and 1965 respectively. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by completing a Master of Agriculture Science in biochemistry and microbial fermentation from Ain Shams University in Egypt and a PhD in Basic Medical Science-microbiology, immunology, and molecular biology from New York Medical College. Throughout his career, Dr. Ibrahim also earned a certificate in medical technology-clinical biochemistry from New York City, clinical research associate from Kriger Research Center, microbiology rapid detection methods from Kansas State University, received a fermentation technology certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received a membrane technology certification from the center for professional advancement (CFPA), currently named COBBLESTONE.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Ibrahim aligns himself with the American Chemical Society, the Society of Industrial Microbiology, and the American Society of Microbiology. In light of his professional achievements, he has been recognized by the 4th Global Summit on Food Science and Healthcare Nutrition, the World Congress on Probiotics, Functional Food, and Nutraceuticals, the 4th International Conference and Exhibition of Food Processing and Technology, and the Third International Conference on Bio-Process and Bio-Systems Engineering. Through Kraft, Dr. Ibrahim also received a Superior Achievement Award in Fermentation Technology.
