An expert in his field, Mr. Cockroft earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial information technology from Birmingham City University in 1990. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by completing an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, becoming a private aircraft pilot through the Federal Aviation Administration, and receiving a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt through IBM. Additionally, Mr. Cockroft is a scuba diving instructor through the British Sub-Aqua Club.
His career has been filled with highlights. The latest was when Mr. Cockroft embraced the expanding market of cannabis oil extraction. He partnered with an expert in the industry to develop equipment for this purpose. By creating an end-to-end process that produced as much as ten liters of oil per hour, he and his business partner generated revenues of $50 million in one year. Eventually, the large securities firm Gibraltar offered to buy the business for the same amount. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his persistence and living his life by the words of Theodore Roosevelt, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
