He started his career as an aircraft maintenance engineer from 2003 to 2005 in Iran.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jahanbin has been recognized for his innovative contributions to the industry through several patents that have significantly improved aviation safety. These include primary inventor for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of damages in curved composite structures using ultrasonic guided waves, surface roughness quality assessment for fatigue crack nucleation, fabrication of smart patch for in-situ monitoring of repaired and altered structures, and the application of SHM for bolted and hybrid bonded joints. His expertise has been recognized not only through these accomplishments but also by his peers and industry leaders, paving the way for sustained airworthiness.. Dr. Jahanbin is an active member of the International Society of Air Safety Investigators (ISASI) since 2020. He holds the position of sponsorship chairperson for the organization's international seminar, showcasing his advocacy and commitment to aerospace safety and advancing the field of accident investigation and prevention.
Building upon his professional expertise, Dr. Jahanbin's academic background has been instrumental in his success. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from Villanova University in 2017 and holds a master's degree in business administration, specializing in corporate finance and business policy, from Texas A&M University, which he completed in 2013. He also obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 2009 after receiving a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the Civil Aviation Technology College in Iran in 2003. His commitment to continuous learning is further demonstrated by numerous certifications, including safety management systems from the International Air Transport Association, agile leadership and Systems Modeling Language (MBSE) from MIT, and FAA Parts 21 and 135 from the Federal Aviation Administration, among others.
