Notably, Mr. Barton held significant leadership roles early in his career, including as the vice president at Paragon Tracking Systems in 1998 and as the general manager at Pitney Bowes between 1983 and 1998.
Building upon a solid educational foundation, Mr. Barton received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Southern California in 1984 and a Master of Business Administration from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) in 2007. He further augmented his professional qualifications by obtaining a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from IKON Office Solutions in 2005.
Mr. Barton is an active member of several organizations outside of his field. Mr. Barton has also served on various committees and boards, including the Trojan Athletic Fund of San Diego as a board member since 2019, as a project volunteer for the Master of Business Administration Masters Experience Program at CSUSM, and as a member of the dean's advisory council for the college of business administration at CSUSM.
