Similarly, he collaborates with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and team members to determine the timeline, cost, and required resources for various projects. Dr. Koko also serves as Chief Executive Officer, co-founder, and wellness coach of Palm Springs Wellness, where he has spearheaded its transformation from a start-up venture into one of the rapidly expanding wellness and anti-aging clinics within Southern California.
During the early stages of his career, Dr. Koko worked for Quest Diagnostics in various positions, including senior continuous improvement manager, process improvement and organizational change manager, technical manager of microbiology, clinical laboratory scientist, client services supervisor, project management associate, and client service representative. Over the years, he has achieved much on behalf of the company. In addition to saving Quest millions of dollars, Dr. Koko has trained employees in standard operating procedures and validated new protocols for Phase Three clinical trials. Likewise, Dr. Koko has conducted extensive research on bacteriophage isolation and identification. He holds the distinction of being the first to describe bacteriophages from Tropical Africa in an academic journal. Additionally, he authored a dissertation exploring the impact of spirituality on the leadership style of organizational leaders. His upcoming book, titled Navigating the Nexus: Spirituality and Leadership, further contributes to the discourse on effective leadership.
An expert in his field, Dr. Koko earned a Master of Science in microbiology from the University of Lagos in 2001 and an MBA in health care administration from the New York Institute of Technology in 2009. Subsequently, he completed a PhD in psychology from Capella University, a project management professional certification, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, and medical laboratory science and technology certifications. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the American Society for Microbiology, the Federation of International Biomedical Laboratory Scientists, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the International Society for Infectious Diseases, and the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology of Nigeria, to name a few. Alongside his work, Dr. Koko is the chairperson for the Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC) Foundation.
In light of his professional achievements, Dr. Koko earned student grants through the Elia Ava Institute for Bacteriophage Research and the American Society for Microbiology.
