Between 2010 and 2017 and recently, Mr. Harlow gained valuable expertise in strategic transformation, revenue growth, and operational excellence as the managing director of Formula Advisors, LLC, which provides consulting services and interim management solutions to private equity firms, venture capital firms, startup companies, and automotive suppliers. He fostered successful business relationships with companies such as: Delphi Automotive; Enovation Controls; Compass Automotive Group; Workhorse; Penske; Khosla Ventures; Metal Powder Products; Gibbs Sports Amphibians; Turnspire Capital; Pine Grove Holdings; and Workhorse.
A seasoned business leader with considerable experience in P&L leadership, strategy, finance, engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing management, new business development, and contract negotiations, Mr. Harlow worked in various senior executive positions with Ricardo PLC and General Motors. He earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Kettering University (formerly GMI). Subsequently, he received an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Harlow aligns himself with the Association for Corporate Growth and the Society of Automotive Engineers. In conjunction with his work, he contributed to the University of Michigan as co-founder of the automotive industry club, and to Kettering University as president of the Student Board of Governors, Management Honor Society and the Oldsmobile Tech Club.
Due to his vast knowledge, Mr. Harlow has contributed to several conferences and panels, including the Diesel Engine¬ Efficiency and Emissions Research Conference, the Global Executive Leadership Panel, the Automotive News Annual CEO Roundtable, and the Green Panel. Given his professional accomplishments, General Motors has honored him with the Bold Move Award, the Best of the Best Award for Leadership of the China Small Car Team, and the Best of the Best Award for Team One – Restructuring Corporate Staffs.

As vice president of new business development, he gained approval from the Chinese government for several joint ventures including Shanghai GM (SGM) and Shanghai GM Wuling (SGMW) that ultimately led to 100,000% growth in that market. Separately, he led the turnaround of Ricardo Inc., where he increased EBITDA sixfold to a record 18% on double digit growth during the Great Financial Crisis. He also executed a $200 million restructuring plan ahead of schedule and under budget at Delphi Technologies resulting in a 5,500 headcount reduction at the 23,000 person company along with streamlining management layers and increasing span of control, reducing the number of engineering processes and systems, and closing 12 of 23 global tech centers before being sold to BorgWarner. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his education and his mentors' guidance.
