During his undergraduate studies, he was elected into the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Dr. Hoffler subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1970. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include an internship from 1970 to 1971 and a residency in internal medicine between 1971 and 1974 at Southside Medical Center. Dr. Hoffler was licensed to practice medicine in Virginia.
