JACKSON, TN, April 19, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Heather D. Brooke, MA, LPC, has been recognized for her inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Brooke has established herself as a distinguished figure in the field of behavioral therapy over the past decade. Currently serving as a behavioral therapist and neurofeedback specialist at her own practice, she balances her day between therapy clients and supervising employees while also engaging in speaking appearances. Ms. Brooke showcases her versatility and wide range of interests with a role as Miss West Tennessee for America Strong 2024. Additionally, she has been a brand ambassador for Hair Club since 2017, a partnership that connects directly to her journey with trichotillomania, a hair-pulling disorder.
Prior to her current roles, Ms. Brooke was a behavioral therapist at LifeStance Health and a neurofeedback specialist at the Neurofeedback Clinic of Northern Colorado. Her career also includes significant experience as a child and family therapist with SummitStone Health Partners and San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group. Before embarking on her counseling career, Ms. Brooke held a position as an office manager at her family's business, Brooke-Stone LLC. Her professional journey is supported by membership in organizations such as Chi Sigma Iota, the National Board for Certified Counselors Inc., the Colorado Counseling Association, and the American Counseling Association.
Ms. Brooke's academic background laid the foundation for her successful career. In 2007, she received an Associate of Arts in business from the University of Pheonix, followed by a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the same institution two years later. Ms. Brooke went on to earn a Master of Arts in clinical mental health counseling from Adams State University.
Ms. Brooke is fueled by the fulfillment she gains from witnessing positive changes in people's lives. She attributes her success to an endless drive and motivation, alongside her strong faith. Ms. Brooke was inspired to write her first book while working with a young client who suffered from trichotillomania, a disorder Ms. Brooke had also lived with. When she realized there were no books for children about this subject, she wrote her own, publishing her award winning, "Where's My Hair? A Trichotillomania Story for Children" in 2018.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Brooke enjoys church and worship, spending quality time with her family and their two dogs, traveling, attending concerts, modeling and acting. She is currently working on several books that reflect both her professional expertise and personal experiences. Among these is "Reigning Resilient Queens," a collaborative project that explores Ms. Brooke's spiritual journey, struggles with trichotillomania, and overcoming unhealthy relationships. She is also working on a book that aims to support Christian women who have experienced narcissistic abuse in relationships. These endeavors highlight Ms. Brooke's commitment to using her experiences to empower others.
