Prior to founding Total Sports Recruiting, Mr. Davis was drafted as a professional baseball player in 1984, leading him to pitch for the Boston Red Sox. He went on to coach baseball from 1991 to 1995, after which he served as a program director and principal at Summit Academy, school for court-committed juveniles, many of whom were repeat offenders. Despite challenging circumstances, Mr. Davis and his team successfully helped the students achieve academic success, often sending them to college.
Following this period, Mr. Davis went on to hold numerous leadership roles in coaching, including as a baseball coach for Shady Side Academy, the director of baseball at Triple Threat Baseball Training, a coach for Pro Performance Pittsburgh, and an area director for Student Athlete World in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio, to name only a few.
Mr. Davis's expertise in the total college athletic recruiting process is widely recognized within the industry. A member of the Major League Baseball Players Association, his commitment to excellence has earned him the National Recruiting Consultant of the Year award for five consecutive years from 2017 to 2021. One of Mr. Davis's most significant accomplishments has been helping thousands of students secure college placements. He takes pride in the lasting relationships he has built with former players and clients, many of whom have provided testimonials and referrals. These connections underscore his impact beyond professional achievements.
Before venturing onto his vocational path, Mr. Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physical education and sports science from the University of Charleston in 1995. Since then, he has attributed much of his success to his enthusiasm, drive, and love for coaching.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Davis enjoys quality time spent with his family. An avid traveler and golfer, he finds these activities provide a welcome balance to his demanding career. Looking ahead, he aims to expand Total Sports Recruiting into a leading entity within the industry.
