Mr. Leve is an experienced business executive and attorney who has established himself as a distinguished professional in the insurance industry. Since 2012, he has served as the chief legal and corporate resources officer at Pinnacol Assurance. In this role, he oversees a broad spectrum of administrative functions, including corporate oversight, the legal department, ethics, medical records, security, fraud investigations, facilities, and regulatory affairs. Mr. Leve also holds the position of board secretary, managing board relations and education.
After several years in private practice with Southern California law firms, Mr. Leve's in-house counsel career began at GTE, which became Verizon, where he served as associate general counsel from 1995 to 2003. He then became the chief legal officer and corporate secretary at Sitel Worldwide, an international business process outsourcing firm headquartered Nashville, in 2003 before taking on the role of general counsel for the State of Tennessee between 2009 and 2012.
Mr. Leve's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Southern California. He has demonstrated his commitment to service as a member of several industry-related organizations, and as a board member of private companies. Currently, Mr. Leve serves as the president of the Colorado Civil Justice League and as the secretary and treasurer of the American Association of State Compensation Funds. Mr. Leve has been instrumental as a board member at Cake Insure in Denver since 2017, overseeing the insurance agency's policy and strategic direction. He has also been active civically, serving on numerous non-profit boards of directors and as an elected official on a public school board.
