He prospered in the position of regional vice president of the west division for trust and estate services at City National Bank from 2017 to 2018, and from 2014 to 2017, he served as a senior lead fiduciary officer and vice president at Bank of the West, where he was named the top performer in new business for multiple years. He honed his executive skill set as the chief executive officer of Downtown Stockton Alliance from 2013 to 2014, and earlier roles included a tenure as a senior trust officer and vice president with Bay Commercial Bank from 2010 to 2013 and regional asset manager and vice president at Bank of the West from 2005 to 2010. Notably, Mr. Vicuña initiated his work in the industry as a trust officer of wealth management at the Bank of Stockton in 2004.
Exceptional academic training and achievement further shaped Mr. Vicuña's profile. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in law and society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, which he obtained in 2000, and he earned a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School in 2003. To expand his knowledge base and further shape his presence in the field, he also completed coursework in nonprofit board development at the University of the Pacific and in executive financial management at Pacific Coast Banking School, Premier National Graduate School of Banking, in partnership with the Foster Graduate School of Business at the University of Washington, and Mr. Vicuña studied executive leadership at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.
