Before launching his established firm, Mr. Perez spent nearly two decades in the field affiliated with large local public firms, beginning as an auditor then transitioning to tax where his true passion lies as a taxpayer advocate. Throughout his tenure, he became efficient in assisting clients to achieve their goals, helping businesses become more efficient and productive, and implementing internal strategies and procedures that maximized profits while saving tax dollars.
Migrating to the United States from Mexico at age 3, Mr. Perez developed an early interest in business as a young man in rural Laverne Oklahoma. Here Mr. Perez gained a strong work ethic and found mentorship in several individuals and became inspired to pursue a career in accounting. As part of his continued commitments to the community, Mr. Perez has taken on several leadership positions in his professional and civic engagements. He has been a past member of the board of directors of the Family Support Services of Amarillo, Rotary Club Member, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and volunteered at a multitude of non-profit organizations.
Mr. Perez studied at West Texas A&M University, where he became a resident assistant, elected Student Senator, and member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 1998. To further enhance his place in his career, he received credentials as a certified public accountant through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2000 passing all four parts of the CPA examination at once. Mr. Perez is fluent in English and Spanish.
To remain relevant in his career, Mr. Perez is a professional member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
