Over the years, Dr. Adragna gained valuable education and administration expertise as the PhD chair of education programs at Keiser University, contributing faculty at Walden University, adjunct professor at Ashford University, and dissertation chair at the University of Charleston. During the early stages of her career, she worked at such institutions as Argosy University, the Educational Testing Service, Starke Elementary, Daytona Beach College, Volusia County School District, and Stetson University. Similarly, Dr. Adragna taught children with disabilities as a substitute teacher at Deland High School and served as the director of inventory management for Pergament Home Centers.
Throughout her career, Dr. Adragna has contributed to many seminars, conferences, and publications, including Character, Computers, and Classroom Community: A Technology-Based Approach for Building Classroom Community in Title I Elementary Schools and "A Movement Emerging from Murder During the Era of COVID-19 Pandemic: The Dichotomy of Good Versus Evil." Alongside fellow industry scholars, Dr. Adragna also presented "Generational Differences and Graduate Retention" and "IRS: Issues in Student Retention – Doctoral Students" at the National Symposiums on Student Retention in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Destin, Florida.
Before starting her professional career, Dr. Adragna earned a Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Arts in teaching and elementary education at Rollins College, an EdS in teaching at Stetson University, a PhD in leadership for K-12 programs at Capella University, and a Quality Matters certification. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Adragna is affiliated with the International Flute Orchestra, the American Educational Research Association, the National Education Association, the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges, and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development to name a few.
In light of her professional accomplishments, Dr. Adragna won the Best Paper Award from The Clute Institute in 2014 and an acknowledgement of teaching excellence from the Dean of Ashford University in 2018. For her dedication to excellence in education, she has also been honored by the American Public University System and Keiser University. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in teaching doctoral courses, watching her dissertation students graduate, and taking lessons from Peter Lloyd, the principal of the London Symphony Orchestra, and James Galway, the world's premier flutist. Looking toward the future, Dr. Adragna intends to continue in her roles with the American College of Education, the University of Arizona, and the American Public University System.
