By leveraging his considerable expertise, he has successfully turned around several high-tech companies and directed two startups. Before obtaining his current role, he was the executive director of Schooley Mitchell Telecom Consultants and the interim senior vice president of Teletron Corporation. Similarly, Mr. Hardy held executive roles with ComputerLogic, Intek Global Corporation, ADE Incorporated, and Beechwood Data Systems.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Hardy gained valuable expertise with several companies, including PAVCO, Inc., Delta Systems, Inc., and Key Communications. During his AT&T career he served as Director of Forecasting and Development and Reginal Director of Consultative Sales. Dedicated to his country, he has also served as a Commanding Officer over Naval Control of Shipping, and two Naval Reserve combat ship units. Cdr. Hardy retired with 26 years of service. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Mississippi State University. Subsequently, Mr. Hardy received an MBA in economics and finance from Mississippi College and completed the AT&T three-year executive development program through the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Outside of his work, Mr. Hardy has supported the Mississippi Maritime Museum, the Gulf Coast Symphony, and the Singing River Yacht Club. Dedicated to his community, he also founded and owns Protect Our Coast, Inc. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in obtaining patents for two software systems for the first intelligent telephone bill and for a defect error detection and classification used in making computer chips. He is also proud of turning around 5 struggling high tech companies, and for licensing Smart Bill to Sprint, Charter Telecom, MCI, and AT&T. He also licensed his chip defect Classification software to IBM, Intel, and other chip manufacturers in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
