Between 2018 and 2021, Mr. Bell served as senior director of advanced process solutions at Georgia-Pacific LLC, focusing on innovative solutions for the industry. From 2016 to 2018, he was the director of Factory of the Future at Georgia-Pacific LLC, where he played a pivotal role in modernizing operations through technology.
During his tenure as a manager of automation innovation at Georgia-Pacific LLC, from 2015 to 2016, and process control group leader from 2012 to 2015, Mr. Bell worked as a thought leader, and internal focus point, to facilitate a response to issues from an aging work force. In this capacity, Mr. Bell worked with mill Process Control leaders to develop five year visions as well as the standards and expectations for th GP Process Control community and co-lead efforts to integrate process control IT and OT resources to enable better security, and data management.
Before joining Georgia-Pacific LLC, Mr. Bell was an operations consultant at Kimberly-Clark from 2009 to 2012 and progressed through various engineering roles from 2006 to 2009. His earlier experiences include working as a staff process control system engineer at MeadWestvaco (MWV) from 2000 to 2006 and undertaking several engineering positions at International Paper between 1997 and 1999.
Mr. Bell's commitment to his field extends beyond his professional roles. He is an active member of industry-related organizations such as the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry Inc., ISA's Pulp and Paper Industry Division, the ABTCP Brazilian World Congress, and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Mr. Bell takes an active role in multiple communities. These affiliations have allowed him to stay connected with industry trends and contribute to collective knowledge sharing. Building upon a solid educational foundation, Mr. Bell graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1993. His academic background has been instrumental in his professional achievements, further enhanced by his certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
