Having founded CrossGates Consulting Company, a business advisory firm focused on improving international supply chain strategies, in Houston in 2000, Mr. Holly led the company until 2009, when he became the global head of supply chain management at Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, where he honed his skills in managing complex supply chains. Mr. Holly then joined Red Leaf Resources Inc., an early-stage technology company, as vice president in 2011. Mr. Holly also garnered success as manager of corporate business process reengineering projects at Hess Corporation (formerly Amerada Hess Corporation) from 1997 to 2000. His tenure at Hess Corporation also included roles within the natural gas marketing division between 1990 and 1997.
Mr. Holly's career in the industry included positions at two subsidiaries of Texas Oil and Gas Corporation – TXO Production Corp and Delhi Gas Pipeline Corp. He began his professional journey as a petroleum engineer with Union Oil Company of California in 1979.
Building upon a solid educational foundation, Mr. Holly holds a Bachelor of Science in natural gas (petroleum) engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1979 and an Executive Master of Business Administration with a focus on strategy and marketing from Oklahoma City University in 1994.
One of Mr. Holly's most noteworthy accomplishments occurred in 2000 when he was recognized for his exceptional project management skills and innovative approach to corporate change with an award from the Smithsonian Institute.
