Currently serving at Redeemer Christian Academy since 2004, he has become an integral part of the academic fabric, teaching language arts, advanced math, religion and serving as a homeroom teacher. His approach to education is holistic; he not only focuses on academic excellence but also on moral and spiritual growth, encouraging his students to engage with the world thoughtfully and compassionately.
Before his tenure at Redeemer Christian Academy, Mr. Edmison imparted knowledge at St. Mark-St. John Lutheran School from 1987 to 2004. In this capacity, he taught middle school science and physical education alongside his responsibilities as a homeroom teacher. His career began at Gethsemane Lutheran Church and School in Northglenn, Colorado, in 1986, marking the start of a lifelong journey in education.
Throughout his career, Mr. Edmison has also taken on roles beyond classroom teaching, serving as a church high school youth director, school trip coordinator, activity and athletics director, fundraising coordinator for various events, coach for multiple sports teams, school representative at numerous activities, spelling bee coordinator, and Bible study leader. As a coach, he has led teams to victory in flag football, boys and girls basketball, softball, and track at both league and state levels over various years. His teams have also performed commendably at various national Lutheran tournaments.
Transitioning from professional achievements to academic foundations, Mr. Edmison's educational background laid the groundwork for his successful career. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in elementary education at Concordia University in 1985, he went on to graduate with a Master of Education in elementary education and teaching in 1992. His academic pursuits were further solidified by certifications in K-6+ classroom elementary teaching and K-12 physical education from the State of Minnesota.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Edmison finds joy in personal pursuits and family life. Born in Columbus, Nebraska, he is married to Linda Edmison, a fellow educator. Together they enjoys sports, traveling to see relatives, reading various novels, and attending former students' high school and college events. Looking ahead, Mr. Edmison remains committed to his vocation as an educator. He aims to continue guiding students toward academic and spiritual growth while preparing them for their future endeavors.
