Prior to founding Hybrid AI Corporation, Mr. Chan was the president of Asia Pacific at Renewables Development Corporation and chief investment officer at SR Investments. His career also includes contributions as a wireless solutions architect at PNG Telecommunications, Inc., and as a managing partner at Virgo, Leo & Partners. Previously, he held positions with Hawaiian Telcom, Cincinnati Bell, China Unicom Joint Ventures, Bank of China and Societe Generale.
Mr. Chan's academic background has played a crucial role in his success. He earned his Master of Business Administration with a focus on information systems and marketing from the University of Cincinnati in 2001. Additionally, he was an MBA candidate at HEC Paris and he completed the Asia-Europe Economics program at Sciences Po in 1999. He holds a diploma in international business from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, which he obtained in 1994. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he recently completed the Harvard Business Analytics Program at Harvard Business School with a focus on Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Chan is deeply involved in industry-related organizations. He serves as the executive director of both the Greater Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Asia Chamber of America in Cincinnati, serving the entire Midwest USA region and extending to Southern Florida, Sao Paulo Brazil and Southeast Asia, and he has been a member of the American Society for Quality and the Project Management Institute since 2001.
Active in civic institutions, Mr. Chan has served as a multilingual interpreter for the Cincinnati Chinese Church, a fitting role as he is fluent in five languages. His contributions to his community were recognized when the Hamilton County, Ohio Board of Commissioners proclaimed May 29, 2021 as the "Leo Chan Day". Mr. Chan is also an author; his publication "The Power of Capital" was released by China Legal Publishing House in 2012.
In his free time, Mr. Chan enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. With his spouse, Yun, by his side and their four children enriching their lives, he envisions leading Hybrid AI Corporation to greater success while increasing awareness about machine-human interfaces and making this important transition more beneficial for society.
