Hailing from over 25 years of leadership in the field of women's health care leadership, Ms. Shepard has built an impressive career as the practice administrator at Queen City Women's Health, a leading women's health specialty practice in Clarksville, Tennessee. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing an interdisciplinary team, devising policies and procedures, and guiding physicians to improve health care services for women.
Before joining Queen City Women's Health in 2024, Ms. Shepard held several key positions at Premier Medical Group in Clarksville, including as the director of clinical operations, operations support manager, PCMH and OSHA coordinator, clinical supervisor, clinic manager and clinical group lead, beginning in 2013. Prior to her time at Premier Medical Group, she gained valuable experience at Community Health Systems' Gateway Medical Center as an occupational medicine and employee health technician and systems coordinator. Her early career also included roles as a medical assistant supervisor at the Cumberland Back Pain Clinic, a medical transcriptionist at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, and a certified medical assistant and transcriptionist at Clarksville Pulmonary and Critical Care, starting in 1993.
Ms. Shepard's commitment to health care extends beyond her professional roles. She is a passionate advocate for global immunizations as a Shot@Life Champion. Each year, she travels to Washington to discuss with representatives the critical need for vaccines worldwide and the importance of childhood vaccinations. Likewise, she serves as the president of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and has been an active member of numerous organizations, including within the Montgomery County Government and Samaritan's Purse. Her commitment to community service is further demonstrated through her role with the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce, for which she has been an ambassador since 2023.
Having initially earned an Associate of Science in allied health services at Miller-Motte College, Ms. Shepard went on to attain a Bachelor of Science in health care administration and management from Columbia Southern University in 2023. She has also earned several certifications that have contributed significantly to her expertise in health care management, including as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager and an organizational leadership certification via the National Association of Healthcare Leadership Professionals, among others.
In her personal life, Ms. Shepard finds joy and fulfillment in spending time with her family. Looking ahead, she aims to continue her volunteer work and mentorship efforts while focusing on expanding Queen City Women's Health.
