Before accepting her first role in the nonprofit space, she dedicated seven years to serving as a teaching assistant, teacher, instructional coach, grade level chair, and assistant principal at various K-12 schools across the country, including Maryland, Louisiana, Georgia, and Tennessee. While her instructional expertise primarily catered to middle school students, she also worked with high schoolers in her roles as an instructional coach with Gestalt Community Schools and a teaching assistant with the Civic Leadership Institute, a partnership between Northwestern University and Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. McGuirk-Molina's academic background has been integral to her professional success. Initially studying environmental science at the University of Maryland College Park, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 2008, she went on to attain a Master of Education from Christian Brothers University in 2011.
