Leveraging his former success, Mr. Hudson served as an administrative judge for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for over 18 years, where he honed his skills in conflict resolution and legal adjudication. Early in his career, he was employed as a staff investigator for the District of Columbia Public Defender Service and as a private investigator while pursuing his law degree, investigating criminal and personal injury cases. Before this, Mr. Hudson maintained a brief tenure with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. while working toward his undergraduate degree, which provided him with a unique perspective on law enforcement and public service. After receiving his law degree, he rejoined the U.S. Army in the Judge Advocate General's Corp, where he enhanced his litigation skills both in the criminal and civil law areas. He retired from the Army in 2003 as a Colonel, which led to his position as an administrative judge.
After being drafted in 1966, Mr. Hudson honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for four years with the Army Security Agency, the precursor to the present U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. These experiences are complemented by his academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Science in business management, as number one in his graduating class, from the University of the District of Columbia in 1974 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from American University in 1977. Mr. Hudson has been admitted to practice by the Texas and Washington, D.C. Bar Associations, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and 11th Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Adding to his professional success, Mr. Hudson is a member of the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators Inc. Beyond his professional endeavors, he remains deeply committed to civic engagement by volunteering his expertise as a mediator in Escambia and Santa Rosa County Courts in Florida.
Mr. Hudson's dedication has been acknowledged through several notable awards. He was decorated in the military with four awards of the Meritorious Service Medal and three awards of the Legion of Merit.
