Throughout his illustrious 27-year military career, in which he retired at the rank of lieutenant colonel, Mr. Folkerts demonstrated exceptional valor and leadership. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for his courageous actions, he saved lives, and while serving as a company commander in Iraq in 2008, he maintained a flawless safety record as well as was awarded the best motor pool in Iraq. His legacy includes not only his battlefield achievements but also his profound impact on mentoring soldiers and shaping their careers. Additionally, Mr. Folkerts completed a master's degree in applied statistics and data analytics, graduating cum laude from Western Illinois University in 2021 while fulfilling his duties in the United States Army.
Mr. Folkerts' academic background laid a solid foundation for his success. He earned a Bachelor of Science in law enforcement and justice administration, with a minor in military science, from Western Illinois University in 2002. During his master's degree, he also obtained a post-baccalaureate certificate in business analytics.
