Apart from running her business, Ms. Tauai's commitment to health and wellness extends to her work as a contract dietitian at Nellis Air Force Base and consultant dietitian for the Culinary Academy of North La Vegas since 2020. Previously, she was a consultant dietitian for the YMCA of Southern Nevada and a health care to health dietitian with The Royster Group Inc. between 2020 and 2023.
Before embarking on her professional career, Ms. Tauai had a commendable tenure in the U.S. Air Force from 1997 to 2017, where she held various roles that underscored her expertise in nutrition and health promotion. Her journey began as a dietetic intern and evolved through positions that included Nutritional Medicine Flight Commander, Health Promotions Manager, and Squadron Commander. Each role allowed Ms. Tauai to make significant contributions to the health and well-being of service members. Notably, her tenure as Squadron Commander highlighted her leadership skills and dedication to service, culminating in her retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Ms. Tauai's academic background includes earning an Associate of Arts, with honors, from Missouri Southern State University in 1994, a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with a minor in Chemistry from Missouri State University in 1997, a Master of Business Administration from Bellevue University in 2006, and a second master's degree in Military Operational Arts from Air University in 2009. Additionally, she holds credentials as a Registered Dietitian, making her well-qualified in her industry.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Tauai is actively involved in civic organizations. She serves as a board member for Whaler's Creation, which supports youth in the foster care system who are no longer receiving assistance. She is also active with her local YMCA, offering free nutrition classes to senior citizens.
In light of her accomplishments, Ms. Tauai was crowned Ms. International 2023-2024 after being named Ms. Congeniality and First Runner Up at the United States of America's Miss Nevada Pageant in 2021. As a U.S. Force veteran, she was honored with over 40 military awards and decorations.
Looking toward future opportunities, Ms. Tauai aims to continue her work as a dietician to help others become the best version of themselves. She also plans on pursuing a modeling career and explore furthering her education in either food sustainability or cosmetology.
