HARSENS ISLAND, MI, May 23, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Harold John Remlinger has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Remlinger, a seasoned architect with over three decades of experience, presently holds the role of principal architect and partner at DesignTeam Plus Inc. Since joining the firm in 2012, he has been instrumental in overseeing all facets of design process through construction administration, including design creation and reviews, bidding and negotiation to ensure clients receive comprehensive bid packages, and managing construction administration and observations.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Remlinger served as the vice chair of the Warren Village Historic District Commission from 2011 to 2015. He also owned and operated Remlinger Architekts PLC from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, he contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Lawrence Technological University from 2006 to 2010. Earlier in his career, he served as a project manager and architect at Jon Sarkesian Architects PC, from 1997 to 2009, following his tenure as the proprietor of Harold Remlinger Associates Inc., from 1994 to 1997. These diverse roles have allowed him to cultivate a robust foundation of knowledge and experience, which he brings to his current endeavors.

Among Mr. Remlinger's most notable achievements is the development of the Life Lab Kids Ultimate Play Park for an autistic school. This project demanded extensive collaboration with therapists, parents, and directors to create a space conducive to both students and therapists. Notably, the team's commitment extended beyond architecture, as they worked closely with city officials to amend zoning ordinances specifically for this project.

Mr. Remlinger's educational journey has been a crucial component of his success. His foundational skills were honed with an Associate of Applied Science in architectural drafting from Macomb Community College in 1989. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Lawrence Technological University in 2004, followed by a master's degree in architecture in 2006 from the same institution. His certifications from the National Accreditation Board for Architecture and United States Green Building Council LEED certification have also played pivotal roles in his career progression.

The roots of Mr. Remlinger's achievements can be traced back to his family history. His great, great grandfather was an architect in the Austrian/Hungarian Empire in the end of the 19th century and his great grandfather was an architect master builder in Yugoslavia in the first part of the 20th century. He believes his success can be attributed to the personal values instilled by his immigrant parents. Their determination, coupled with his father's entrepreneurial spirit and ethical business practices, deeply influenced him and laid the groundwork for his aspirations to establish his own architectural firm.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Remlinger is actively involved in various community organizations, including the Warren Village Historic District Commission, Friendship Circle, Yad Ezra Food Pantry, Gleaners, Humane Society, and Habitat for Humanity. His commitment to community service has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the D Business Magazine Corporate Culture Awards for Career Advancement in 2024, the Mayor's Choice Award in 2022, the Citizen Architect Award from Michigan Architectural Foundation in 2013, the Corporate 10,000 sq ft or less Corporate Award from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) in 2022, and the People's Choice Award from the IIDA Michigan Chapter in 2022.

In his personal life, Mr. Remlinger enjoys fly fishing and treasures moments spent with his wife and daughter. Looking ahead, he envisions expanding DesignTeam Plus over the next several years by significantly growing the team and focusing on markets across Ohio, Indiana, and Florida. Education remains a cornerstone of this expansion plan, as he aims to enhance municipalities' understanding of architectural projects through teaching and seminars nationwide.
