In addition, from 2014 to 2018 Mr. Letelier served as an architect at the Ministerio de Obras Públicas. In this role as Director General of public works for Easter Island, he contributed to the development of public infrastructure projects, applying his experience to enhance community facilities and services. This position allowed him to engage directly with public sector initiatives, further broadening his experience and impact within the field of architecture.
Throughout his career, Mr. Letelier has remained actively involved with field research and discovery and became a member of the Explorers Club and other industry-related organizations. Mr. Letelier's academic background laid the foundation for an illustrious career. Initially studying architecture at the University of Maryland, from which he earned an associate degree in 1978, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Architecture in environmental design at the University of California Berkeley in 1981, where he later graduated with a Master of Architecture in 1983.
