Dr. Lee's tenure at In-Med Inc. as the director of research and development from 1995 to 2003 also honed his skills in health care innovation. Earlier in his medical career, he was the chief executive officer and medical director at the Central Coast Independent Practice Association between 1994 and 2000 and the co-owner of the Bridgeview Medical Laboratory from 1983 to 1997.
Among many professional milestones, Dr. Lee was involved in developing Medicare Advantage Plans. He also collaborated on the Oregon Health Plan, underscoring his commitment to leveraging his expertise for broader societal benefit. Outside of the medical field, Dr. Lee spent two decades as the owner, project manager, and property manager at Seagull Properties from 1984 to 2004.
Dr. Lee's educational background is vast, having initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from the University of Oregon in 1973. Subsequently, he received a Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine in 1976, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the Charlestown Area Medical Center in 1979. During his studies, Dr. Lee was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in 1972.
As a dedicated member of his professional community, Dr. Lee is a member of the Oregon Medical Association. His civic engagement further illustrates his multifaceted contributions to society.
