Dr. Prueitt also has over 26 years of corporate experience. Since 2018, he has been president of Prueitt Consulting, LLC, while simultaneously providing engineering and operations research subject matter expertise to the former DHPC Technologies, Inc., now Peraton, Inc., one of the largest contractors for the Department of Defense; and technology maturity expertise to Credence Management Solutions, LLC; and he provided business guidance to Trident Technologies, LLC. During the period 1997 to 2014, while at CAS, Inc., Dr. Prueitt was a senior operations research analyst, engineer, and corporate executive. His time there culminating as the president of the CAS Group of Wyle, Inc., from 2007 to 2014, managing over 1500 employees and an over $300 million business, and he also led the organization through multiple corporate acquisitions and transitions. He later continued his senior level operations research and technology maturity projects while a senior vice president and part owner at Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation from 2014 until 2018.
As an analyst, his work includes multiple research and acquisition studies for the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, the LUH-72 Lakota helicopter, the PATRIOT PAC-3 missile system, the Common Infrared Countermeasure system, and many others. These projects exemplified his ability to influence high-level government decisions, and his recommendations informed multiple multi-billion dollar government spending decisions. Dr. Prueitt's military background laid the groundwork for his post-service career achievements. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1997, where he first developed his operations research expertise, executive level consulting skills, and technical research abilities before retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Today, Dr. Prueitt maintains a professional affiliation with the Army Aviation Association of America.
In preparation for his distinguished career, Dr. Prueitt received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1977; a master's degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1984; and, subsequently, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University in 1990. Additionally, Dr. Prueitt contributed numerous scholarly articles to various professional journals, and his papers have been researched and cited dozens of times.
Dr. Prueitt is committed to civic service, supporting church activities, veterans' organizations, and mentoring young engineers and analysts. He also served on the executive board of directors for the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce from 2012 to 2014, demonstrating his leadership ability and support to his community.
As a testament to his professional success, Dr. Prueitt has received multiple awards: the E. L. Grant Award from the American Society of Engineering Educators in 1991; he was the National Award Winner for the 2005 Army Aviation Material Readiness Award for Contributions by an Individual Member of Industry, from the Army Aviation Association of America; in 2012, he received the Seven Seals Award for Employer Support of the National Guard and Reserve Component; and, acknowledging his support to the country, his highest military recognition is the Legion of Merit, awarded in 1997.
