Prior to joining the team of Pearlman, Brown & Wax LLP in 2015, Mr. Downing was an associate attorney with Lewis Brisbois and a paralegal with Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones LLP.

The educational journey of Mr. Downing began with an Associate of Arts in music education and vocal performance, obtained from Citrus College in 2000. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from the University of Phoenix. After earning professional experience as a recruiter for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Bank of America and as a human resources and staffing specialist for Telesis Community Credit Union, he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southwestern Law School in 2011.
Mr. Downing is a member of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is also active with Mensa International and the California Workers' Compensation Defense Attorneys' Association.
A devoted partner and father, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Erica Downing, and their two children, Connor, age 11, and Isobel, age 9. When he is not serving his clients, he practices martial arts, a lifelong pursuit that has earned him multiple black belts.
