Dr. Toperich has made significant contributions to international relations and cultural diplomacy through his role as senior executive vice president at the Transatlantic Leadership Network since 2018. From 2013 to 2019, Dr. Toperich served as the director of the Mediterranean Basin, Middle East, and Gulf Initiative at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. His work focused on enhancing relationships and promoting stability within these regions. Additionally, he was chairman of the Transatlantic Economic Forum from 2014 to 2018, where he played a crucial role in strengthening economic ties between transatlantic partners.

Dr. Toperich also contributed to international diplomacy as a counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations from 2009 to 2011 and as a presidential envoy for the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 2003 to 2007. Throughout this period, his diplomatic efforts were instrumental in advancing peace and cooperation on an international scale. Additionally, Dr. Toperich is a nonresident fellow at the Soran University Research Center in Iraqi Kurdistan and the chairman of the supervisory board at the Mediterranean Development Initiative (MDI) in Tunis, Tunisia.

Prior to his distinguished career in diplomacy and international relations, Dr. Toperich was celebrated as a world-renowned pianist from 1990 to 2004. He performed at prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall and the Concertgebouw, under the baton of renowned conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Kazushi Ono. His concert in Washington, DC, in 1997 was broadcast nationwide on National Public Radio, earning him a nomination for Best Debut Artist. In recognition of his contributions to music and cultural diplomacy, he was named UNESCO Artist for Peace in 1998.

Dr. Toperich's academic background includes a PhD in music performance from the Music Academy in Lovran, Croatia, completed between 1997 and 1999. He also holds a master's degree in music from the Jerusalem Rubin Academy of Music and Dance and completed postdoctoral studies at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics at Stanford University. Well-regarded for his scholarly prowess in both music and international diplomacy, Dr. Toperich is the editor of nine books.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Toperich is an avid tennis player, which reflects his commitment to maintaining a balanced lifestyle. Looking ahead, he has expressed intentions to further serve his community by running for Congress in the near future.
