Prior to that, he held several executive positions at RBC Bank, including executive vice president of sales from 2008 to 2009 and chief operating officer, chairman, and chief executive officer of RBC Card Bank from 2005 to 2008. His tenure at RBC Bank also includes serving as president for Georgia and chairman, chief executive officer of RBC Card Bank from 2002 to 2005. Mr. Day's extensive experience in the banking sector began at Centura Bank, where he was chief operating officer and corporate banking officer for Eastern North Carolina from 1993 to 2001, following his early career at North Carolina National Bank from 1987 to 1993.
