Her educational achievements have been instrumental in her professional success, providing her with a broad perspective and critical thinking skills that enhance her leadership and organizational abilities within the studio. Starting out, Ms. Karasek built her educational dance foundation with certifications in all areas of dance as well as acrobatics, anatomy and musical theory from Dance Educators of America.
Transitioning into her personal life reveals that Ms. Karasek's journey into the world of dance was deeply influenced by her family's legacy. The founding of Reflections in Dance by her parents in 1982 set the stage for her future career; in fact, her mother's ability to juggle parenting and business management inspired Ms. Karasek to follow in her footsteps. The longevity of their studio, particularly over 4 decades and moving from coast to coast, is a source of immense pride for the family.
Dedicated to community activism, Ms. Karasek's commitment extends beyond the dance studio to civic engagement. She has been an active member of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society since 2010, serving on its Board of Trustees since 2023 and co-chairing its Emerging Leaders Board from 2020 to 2023. Her dedication was recognized with the organization's prestigious Dorothy Corwin Spirit of Life Award in 2022.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Karasek enjoys spending time with her family, including her spouse, Daniel, and their two children Ella and Maddox.
