KANSAS CITY, MO, June 06, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Marie McCreary has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mrs. McCreary is an established entrepreneur who founded Margaret's Place Adult Recreation and Wellness Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Launching her organization in 2015, she specializes as a coach and mentor advocating for older adults throughout the community, individuals with disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness. More specifically, Mrs. McCreary's center offers exciting activities for retired adults and individuals 18 and over with disabilities and pairs community members with life coaches to help them age gracefully and improve the quality of their lives. Among other services, the Center offers an annual Adopt-A-Senior and Adopt-A-School drive.
Mrs. McCreary started Margaret's Place as a promise to her Grandmother, Margaret Brown, that when she got older she would take care of her. She vowed to establish a place where the aging and disabled could live full and purposeful lives. She promised that the established location would be safe, sanitary, and overflowing with vigor and engaging activities. Additionally, she understands that the aging population is growing exponentially and that the established health care system will not be able to meet the needs of the 65 and older and/or disabled.
Actively involved in the business, Mrs. McCreary focuses on continued growth and development and the company's intellectual properties. She also recently launched a caregiver blog for caregiver support groups. Determined to expand her Center's footprint locally and nationally, Mrs. McCreary also purchased a piece of property to incorporate a full- service health and wellness center with additional medical services. Her goal is to establish an even larger facility beyond Margaret's Place as the gold standard for senior services. It will be called Utopia Point. Utopia Point will be a full-service, all inclusive health and wellness & residential care establishment, where a larger number of aging and disabled persons can receive health care-related services and live self-driven lifestyles.
Adding to her credentials, Mrs. McCreary teaches the GROWTH360 class through the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The program comprises a 10-week course to teach entrepreneurs how to scale their businesses. Additionally, Mrs. McCreary owns and operates five other business ventures alongside her husband, including Luster Investments LLC, a real estate investment company, as its founder and chief executive officer since 2008. Self- employed since age 19, Mrs. McCreary has always been enthusiastic about entrepreneurship.
To further support her local community, Mrs. McCreary has been a parent volunteer and coach for Della Lamb Community Services since 2010, a founder and lead organizer for #UrbanNetworkingSocial since 2016, and a board member for Hydrate the Homeless since 2017. Moreover, Mrs. McCreary is an active member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and the Black Chamber of Greater Kansas City Inc.
Mrs. McCreary graduated from Lincoln College Preparatory Academy in Kansas City in 2000. She subsequently completed the ScaleUP! program through the SBDC, an intensive, 18-week program that teaches entrepreneurs how to scale their businesses, change their professional mindsets, and think more like high-level executives to transform their companies and elevate their worth. Furthermore, Mrs. McCreary became a certified dementia practitioner and completed various business courses through Next stage KC.
In light of her professional accomplishments, Mrs. McCreary's company was recognized by the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce for providing healthy meals and multiple wellness programs. The Center was also named Kansas City's Small Business Superstar numerous times for its services. For her local contributions, Mrs. McCreary received an Up and Comer Award from the South Town Foundation and a Mogul Making Moves Award from the Show Me Shoes Foundation. She was also named as the Team Mom of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
