NEW YORK, NY, June 07, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cécilia M. Attias has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Originally from France, Ms. Attias has established herself in the realm of public affairs and advocacy both nationally and globally. Currently, she serves as the vice president of public affairs at Richard Attias & Associates, a position she has held since 2016. In this role, she leverages her extensive experience in politics and governance to advise on global communications strategies, thereby enhancing the firm's reputation as a leader in strategic consultancy.

Along with holding the title of vice president of public affairs, Ms. Attias serves as the secretary of the Richard Attias & Associates' advisory board. Before applying her expertise at the firm, she gained experience across a spectrum of government roles that defined her career trajectory as well as shaped her passion for philanthropy. In 2008, Ms. Attias founded the Cecilia Attias Foundation for Women, a foundation dedicated to promoting women's welfare worldwide, addressing issues such as health, education, and equality.

The Cecilia Attias Foundation for Women is an initiative that not only reflects Ms. Attias' lifelong commitment to humanitarian causes but also her belief in empowering women as agents of change. Since its inception, she has led her organization as president, collaborating with other charities such as the Hour Children, which focuses on aiding women and their children post-incarceration by providing job training and shelter. Such an initiative gained recognition, notably receiving CNN's "Best Foundation" accolade several years back.

Ms. Attias' earlier career and political journey began at Neuilly City Hall and the National Assembly in France, where she honed her skills in governance and public service between 1989 and 2002. She then served as the Minister of Interior in 2002, followed by an advisory role in the Ministry of State, Economy, Finance and Industry in 2004 and Chief of Staff for the Union for a Popular Movement Party in 2005. Each position she held afforded Ms. Attias a deeper understanding of the intricacies of government operations and policy-making.

In 2007, Ms. Attias' experience culminated in her becoming the First Lady of France, a position marked by significant diplomatic achievements. During her tenure in this leadership and public-facing role, she was instrumental in negotiating the release of over five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor who were detained and condemned to death by the regime of Gaddafi in Libya. Ms. Attias' unwavering commitment to saving their lives serves as a testament to her resolve and diplomatic acumen. For her efforts and aid, she received the highest honor decoration from Bulgaria.

As a result of her background and cosmopolitan professional experience, Ms. Attias speaks French, Spanish, and Italian as well as conversational Portuguese and English. She obtained a master's degree in political science and studied law at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, which provided her with a solid educational foundation that equipped her with the ability to navigate the complex landscapes of politics, law, and international relations effectively. Throughout her professional tenure, Ms. Attias also made significant contributions to literature and thought leadership, publishing works that offer insights into her perspectives on politics, society, and personal integrity.

Ms. Attias is the author of the 2013 French edition of "Une envie de verité" and co-authored the 2019 French edition of "Une envie de désaccord(s)", respectively. She is currently working on her third book and plans to establish a small advisory firm with her husband while continuing her philanthropic efforts through her foundation. As the wife of a minister and a president, Ms. Attias holds to the belief that she must aid those in need at all costs and continues to embody this call to service in her current work. Outside of her professional endeavors, she is a mother of three children as well as an avid pianist with a passion for the arts, history, and sports like tennis and horseback riding.
