Before joining Central Beer Import & Export, Mr. Herrera held critical positions at Anheuser-Busch InBev in Miami. From 2017 to 2020, he was a senior district sales manager, where he was responsible for overseeing sales operations and achieving sales targets within his district. Earlier, he excelled as the director of the independent trade market for the organization between 2014 and 2016, focusing on building solid relationships with independent retailers. Mr. Herrera began with Anheuser-Busch in 2012, where he spent two years as the senior state of Florida manager of high-end, leading high-end beverage sales initiatives across the state.
Mr. Herrera's career in the beverage distribution industry began at Presidente USA in Miami, where he served as the U.S. regional director from 1999 to 2012. Under his leadership, Presidente USA saw remarkable growth, with case sales soaring from 200,000 to an impressive 2.4 million cases under his tenure. This achievement is among Mr. Herrera's proudest moments, highlighting his exceptional ability to grow a business in the U.S. Before pivoting into the beer industry, he was the president of Molina's Restaurant from 1997 to 1999 and the vice president of sales at Eagle Brands Inc. between 1985 and 1997.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Herrera graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1984. Further enhancing his skill set, he obtained Six Sigma white and green belt certifications.
Actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Mr. Herrera has served as a facility security officer and public affairs officer since 2012.
Mr. Herrera's dedication to excellence was recognized in 2018 when he was named North America Employee of the Year by Anheuser-Busch Companies LLC. His analytics and people management expertise have been pivotal to his success, as well as the experience gained through practical work in his field. Mr. Herrera plans to retire to Mexico with his wife within five to ten years, where they own property.
