Before establishing his business, he was the president of Synergy Comp, where he maintained responsibility for daily business operations, including hiring, training, and strategic planning. Additionally, Mr. Blough was the president, chief executive officer, and chief operations officer of Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company, a regional property and casualty company serving the Midwest.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Blough gained valuable expertise in executive roles with the Wayne County Community Federal Credit Union, Access Financial Corp, and Wells Fargo. In addition to his work, he has contributed to the business community as chairman of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies' Management Conference Committee, among other roles. He has contributed to his geographic community as board moderator for Park Street Brethren Church, and board member of the Ashland Salvation Army Kroc Center and is active in the local Chamber of Commerce.
An expert in his field, Mr. Blough earned a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, and economics from Bowling Green State University. He also became a certified credit union business development professional and certified credit union financial counselor through the Credit Union National Association and a credit union development educator through the National Credit Union Foundation. In 2024, Mr. Blough completed an MBA in organizational leadership from Ashland University.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Blough aligns himself with the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, the Credit Union National Association, and the Credit Union Executives Society. In light of his professional achievements, he has won several community awards and the Dora Maxwell Award. While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Blough takes the most pride in successfully managing growing companies and developing strong leaders.
Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Blough credits his success to fostering people's true potential and to his parents, who instilled in him the importance of valuing and respecting others no matter what role they fulfill in life. Looking toward the future, Mr. Blough intends to serve 15 to 20 clients annually and eventually take on another chief executive officer position with a company interested in growth and values.
