He served as the executive director of advancement information services at the renowned California Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2021, after initially joining the institution as the director of development operations and interim director of annual and special gifts in 2004. Prior to this, he held key positions at Cal Poly Pomona, Marquette University, WITF, Inc., Bucknell University, Harvard University, and the University of California, Irvine, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field.
Mr. Boeke's journey to success is not just about professional achievements but also the values that have guided him. One of his most notable achievements was creating PRSPCT-L early in his career, a pioneering resource tool for professional researchers. This accomplishment earned him the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) in 2000. He attributes much of his professional success to his supportive mentors and a loving family environment that provided him with encouragement and opportunities to reach his full potential, underscoring the importance of mentorship and family in his life.
Serving as a foundation for his professional success, Mr. Boeke holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and political science from Excelsior University and post-baccalaureate certificates in finance and analytics. The industry has recognized his contributions with several accolades, including his participation in the 2017-2018 Advancement Leadership Academy cohort, the Christy Mathewson Award from Bucknell University, and a service award from the California Advancement Research Association.
Mr. Boeke's professional affiliations include memberships in various chapters of APRA and the Association of Advancement Services Professionals, and he is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Additionally, many organizations often tap his professional expertise for speaking engagements.
