He started as a senior financial analyst and progressed through roles including manager of finance, senior manager of regulatory compliance for Medicare operations, director of the enterprise project management office, and ultimately, senior director of enterprise PMO. Mr. Mirabella's tenure at WellCare was marked by significant contributions to project management and operational efficiency. Before joining WellCare, he was an analyst in global sales operations at Computer Associates Inc. from 2002 to 2006. The son of immigrants and a first generation American, Mr. Mirabella served aboard the USS Fort McHenry from 1993 to 1997. His military service, mainly conducting amphibious assault operations overseas, instilled in him a profound sense of discipline and leadership, underpinning his professional achievements.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Mirabella studied at Long Island University, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration, with honors, in 2004. Further enhancing his expertise, he earned a certification in global business from Harvard Business School Online in 2019. While in college, Mr. Mirabella was notably elected as the president of Phi Theta Kappa.
