Before his current role at Achieve, Mr. Bennink founded OptiMatch SEO in 2015 and continues serving as its principal of growth and a search engine optimization (SEO) and growth consultant. Leveraging his former success in this sector, he was an SEO leader at Chewy from 2019 to 2023 where he led Chewy Pharmacy's progression from worst-to-first in organic traffic among major competitors, an SEO team lead at Invaluable between 2017 and 2019 where he drove 57% of total site traffic, and an SEO manager at Shoes.com from 2016 to 2017 where he drove tremendous growth that culminated in a Walmart acquisition. Mr. Bennink's career in search engine optimization began at Staples, where he progressed from an SEO project manager in 2012 to an SEO program manager between 2015 and 2016.
Mr. Bennink's early career included entertainment, social media, finance, and operations, where he worked for companies like Almo Sounds Inc., College Tonight, and Brown Brothers Harriman. His foundation was built through internships as a business consultant at Value Retail PLC in 2006 and as a legislative consultant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2005.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Bennink achieved a bachelor's degree in history from Emory University in 2008 and is currently an MBA Candidate at Quantic School of Business and Technology. These educational achievements have provided him with a solid foundation to excel in his profession.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Bennink is committed to giving back to the community through volunteer work as a consultant and coach for HELP since 2024 and through donations to various organizations, including Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and the ASPCA. Mr. Bennink also contributes a small percentage of his paycheck to his Employee Care Fund at Achieve, which supports additional compensation, benefits and emergency relief for hourly employees in places like call centers.
