Her journey in human resources began at Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she held the role of human resources administrator in 2003. Her career trajectory continued to ascend as she took on roles of increasing responsibility, including HR generalist, trainer, and interim HR director at The Madison Hotel in Washington, D.C. from 2003 to 2005, while working for PM Hotel Group from 2003 to 2016.
Ms. Hodge's expertise was further recognized when she was promoted to the Area Director of Human Resources at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport, Aloft BWI Airport Hotels (PM Hotel Group), where she served in various capacities from 2006 to 2016. Starting as a human resources generalist, she was promoted to corporate human resources manager and eventually became the regional director of human resources. Her leadership skills were instrumental in guiding the human resources department through numerous initiatives that enhanced employee engagement and operational efficiency. Following her tenure at PM Hotel Group, she served as the director of human resources for B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group from 2017 to 2019 before becoming the head of people and culture at Maryland Oncology Hematology in Beltsville, Maryland, until 2021.
Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Hodge has been recognized for her contributions to the field of human resources. She has been featured in SHRM HR Magazine and The Capital Gazette for her innovative approaches to HR management. She has also received several awards, including a Certificate of Excellence for Exemplifying Innovation from Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp in 2011 and a Certificate of Appreciation for her contributions to the AHLA Guest Service Gold Training in 2010. Her commitment to excellence was further acknowledged when she was accepted into the Forbes Human Resources Council in 2019, an achievement she is particularly proud of as it allows her to share her knowledge and best practices with peers in the industry.
Ms. Hodge's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in hospitality management from Howard University and a Master of Science in human resources management from University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition to holding certification as a Professional in Human Resources, she has been the chairperson of Tysons Corner Human Resources Professionals since 2019, served as the vice chairperson of the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation from 2009 to 2016, was a member of the National Society for Minorities in Hospitality, and is currently a member of the National Small Business Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Hodge has served on the advisory board for George Washington University School of Business in 2021. Her civic engagement is complemented by numerous awards recognizing her leadership and contributions to the field, including the Outstanding Leadership Award from the Education 2.0 Conference in 2023. In December of 2024, Ms. Hodge will travel to Dubai for the CXO 2.0 Conference, where she will receive one of the Visionary Awards for her contributions to the field of Human Resources. She is also a nominee for the Forttuna Global Awards, in Dubai this December.
In her personal life, Ms. Hodge enjoys attending church services, serving her community, singing, dancing, and letting her light shine.
