Working as a law clerk, office manager and executive assistant under a number of judges, Ms. Zurheide gained invaluable experience that laid the foundation for her legal expertise.
Following her tenure with the New York State Unified Court System, Ms. Zurheide transitioned to the private sector, where she continued to excel. Initially serving as a project coordinator for Egon Zehnder between 2014 and 2016, she went on to become an executive administrative assistant at Trilantic North America from 2018 to 2020. Her career path also included roles as an executive assistant at True North Data LLC from 2021 to 2023 and at Stone Point Capital in Greenwich, Connecticut, in 2023. These positions allowed her to hone her skills in project management and business development.
Ms. Zurheide's commitment to her profession is further demonstrated by her active involvement in industry-related organizations. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and served as a former treasurer for the Puerto Rican Bar Association. Meanwhile, her academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Hunter College in 2002 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers Law School in 2008.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Zurheide is deeply committed to civic engagement. Since 2023, she has served as a volunteer attorney with the Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals (CCLP) located in New York City and San Francisco, California. CCLP is a free and voluntary unincorporated private membership association of legal professionals, law students, and others who commit their time, resources, and skills to fight the lack of legal recourse and denial of constitutional protections for American citizens.
Additionally, Ms. Zurheide supports the Best Friends Animal Society as a donor. Her contributions extend into academia as well; she was the editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Conflict Resolution Law Journal and co-founder and editor of the Hunter College Political Science Journal. For her dedication to pro bono work, she was awarded the Pro Bono Commencement Award by Rutgers Law School.
