Prior to his current professional occupation, Mr. Cano's professional journey began in the military, where he served as a logistics officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his tenure serving in the Marines, he gained experience as an intern in the U.S. Marshals Office and as a leading agent for American Campus Communities before earning a bachelor's degree in criminology and psychology from The University of New Mexico. Such a degree has proven instrumental in shaping his approach to leadership and problem-solving within his professional career.
During Mr. Cano's tenure with the Marines, he undertook several key roles, including motor transport officer, maintenance management officer, and executive officer, among others, and was recognized with two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Commendation Medal, a National Defense Global Award on Terrorism, and two Sea Service Deployment Awards. His final military postings were as an officer in charge at Waco Detachment and Detachment 1, highlighting his leadership skills and dedication to duty. Concurrently, Mr. Cano also contributed his expertise at Watts Water Technologies as a platform logistics and environmental health and safety maintenance manager and strategic sourcing agent.
When he transitioned from military to civilian life, Mr. Cano was driven by his passion for logistics and his desire to leverage his logistics expertise in a civilian context while fostering a positive work environment for his employees. Under his leadership, Pentonix Freight has flourished, becoming known for its innovative solutions and customer-centric approach.
