In this capacity, her team serves patients in the comfort of their own homes, assisting them with daily living activities and serving as a supportive listener and friend. Mrs. Maier was inspired to create Central Texas Serenity Caregivers LLC after years of work as a private practice certified nursing assistant and caregiver. During that career, she found herself disillusioned with how patients were treated. As a result, she decided to branch out on her own, creating her agency and naming it after her commitment to bringing peace and serenity to her patients in their final moments. Among Mrs. Maier's many joys in running her company are working with her beloved niece, a gifted and diligent caregiver, and seeing each of her caregivers/patients blossom daily.
A leader in her local community, Mrs. Maier has been active in local schools, serving as a PTA leader and parent volunteer. She also takes pride in comforting the elderly by donating wheelchairs, walkers, and hospital beds to local nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and families in need. These efforts have resulted in her being named a Hometown Hero for caring for community elders.
In her personal life, Mrs. Maier enjoys spending time with her husband, a U.S. Army veteran, and their children. She also spends time outdoors, frequenting estate sales, and expanding her medical knowledge. She loves her family and swears she would be nowhere without the support of ALL of them. A proud brain cancer survivor, she shares the positive message and inspiring words to all who cross her path. Her two adult sons say she is seriously the toughest woman they know.
Mrs. Maier holds an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Tech University. In addition to this academic background, she attributes her success to her compassion for others and her unwavering passion for her profession. She tells all her caregivers, "When you succeed, I succeed."
Looking toward the future, Mrs. Maier envisions opening a group home within the next ten years, providing a comfortable space for patients who cannot stay home but prefer not to live in an assisted living or nursing home. She plans to accommodate at least three to five patients, offering personalized and compassionate care that prioritizes their individual needs and happiness.
