Mr. Banta also found success as a pilot captain at Plaquemine Towing Corporation and Spartan Transportation between 1976 and 1989, where he further refined his operational expertise.
Mr. Banta's career is marked by his ability to recognize and hire individuals with complementary strengths, allowing him to build a competent team capable of handling daily operations efficiently. This strategic approach has enabled him to take extended leaves without interruptions, demonstrating his trust in his crew's capabilities. Mr. Banta completed coursework at the University of South Louisiana.
