Due to his studies with such industry professionals as Daniel Glass, Zoro, and Mark Schulman, Mr. Staump has developed considerable expertise as a percussionist, concert promoter, and music producer.
In addition to fostering a love of music in the next generation through Staump Music School, Mr. Staump is also the CFO of the Elev8 Arts Foundation, an organization co-established with Darcy Fagerwold of Expressions Dance and Movement Center, dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to cultivate their artistic talents free from barriers. He also sits on the board of the Santee Chamber of Commerce. During the early stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise as the founder of Staump.com. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field Mr. Staump aligns himself with several organizations, including the National Association of Music Merchants, the Sabian Cymbal Company, the Vic Firth Drumstick Company, as well as being Chair for the Santee Street Fair that recently held its 14th annual celebration during Memorial Day weekend.
In conjunction with his work, Mr. Staump has volunteered with a number of Santee Schools by providing guitar classes after school and sponsors the community choir of San Diego County. However, recently he has been working with the Elev8 Arts Foundation to bring back a free choir program. An expert in his field, he completed coursework in music at Grossmont College. Throughout his career, he has been honored on several occasions, earning the Business of the Year Award in 2021, and in the Spring of 2024, Staump Music School earned Top Small Business from Senator Brian Jones. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in establishing and maintaining his business and enriching the lives of those he meets. The cornerstone of his success lay with his grandparents, who greatly influenced his life and the team with which he works. Within the next five years, Mr. Staump aims to double his business.
