Before his tenure at Northwestern Mutual, Dr. Triolo-Sapp honed his skills and gained invaluable experience in Customer Experience and Analytics at Discover Financial Services and Sears Holdings Corporation. His early career was marked by impactful roles at the United Way of Greater Atlanta and the United Way Worldwide where he focused on community impact and evaluation , showcasing his commitment to social responsibility. Dr. Triolo-Sapp also made significant contributions at Spotify and Spartan Brands in consumer insight and market research. In addition to his corporate roles, he has been a dedicated educator, sharing his expertise with the next generation of professionals as a lecturer at his alma mater, Rutgers University from 2008-2014.
Dr. Triolo-Sapp's academic background laid the foundation for his professional achievements. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State University in 1993, a Master's Degree from Rutgers University in 1995, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Social Work Practice and Analytics from The Ohio State University in 1999. His commitment to continuous learning is further demonstrated by certifications from McKinsey and Company, Depaul University and Northwestern University. Dr. Triolo-Sapp is also a certified Scrum Master.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Triolo-Sapp is deeply committed to civic engagement and mentorship. He serves on the Board of Directors for HBCU First, Inc. and volunteers on the Alumni Advisory Council at The Ohio State University. He has initiated the Sapp Family Scholarship Fund at Buffalo State University and the Triolo-Sapp Endowment at The Ohio State University. He was previously involved with several other organizations inducing Project Fierce and The Ali Forney Center.
Dr. Triolo-Sapp dedication to his career has earned him numerous awards, including the EOP Alumni of the Year award from Buffalo State University and the Exceptional Performance Award in the Workplace and the Community from The Ohio State University College of Social Work.
