His career with the organization began as a software quality assurance specialist in 2004, evolving into a software application developer role from 2007 to 2012, where he honed his skills in creating robust software solutions. Additionally, Mr. Ray excelled as a senior test automation engineer, lead software test engineer, and application manager, roles that enhanced his software quality and efficiency expertise.
Born in Harlem, New York, Mr. Ray attributes much of his accomplishments to building resiliency from the hardships of childhood and to the foundation he built during his educational journey. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Rutgers University and NJIT in Newark, New Jersey, in 2002. His time on campus was instrumental in equipping him with the technical skills and work ethic that have propelled his career forward.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Ray is deeply involved in his community as a volunteer parent and field trip chaperone for local Catholic schools in New Jersey.
In light of his professional success, Mr. Ray received a Red Hat Award in 2017 for streamlining operations delivery software with DevOps as part of a team effort with UPS. This project encompassed leading the development of a data stream platform that took three years to complete, resulting in substantial cost savings for UPS.
