BURKE, VA, July 08, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- E. Neil Trautwein has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Trautwein's journey from a Bachelor of Arts in political science graduate at the University of Louisville in 1984 to a health care policy expert is a testament to his diverse background and the depth of his knowledge. Inspired by his father, a prominent trial attorney, he earned a JD from George Washington University's School of Law and joined Senator Mitch McConnell's staff as a legislative assistant. His career path led him to gain valuable health care policy management and law expertise as the director of government relations for the National Association of Health Underwriters and manager of health care policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Between 1998 and 2006, he represented the National Association of Manufacturers before Congress and prepared witnesses for appearances. As the assistant vice president of human resources policy, he was widely quoted on behalf of the organization. Between 2006 and 2020, Trautwein represented the National Retail Federation as vice president for health care policy.

Today, Mr. Trautwein's impact on health care policy and management continues to grow. He currently holds the executive director position at the Partnership for Employer-Sponsored Coverage, where he represents and leads a 12-member employer coalition on health coverage issues. In this capacity, he lobbies and drafts and manages the approval of coalition letters and interacts with media to support coalition social media activities. His current role is a testament to his extensive professional experience and unwavering dedication to the field.

While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Trautwein takes the most pride in significantly contributing to the National Retail Federation during his tenure as vice president of health care policy. In this capacity, he represented the association before governmental bodies and agencies. He chairs the Employers Healthcare Clearinghouse, a long-running forum in Washington, DC, dedicated to improving the healthcare landscape. Another standout aspect of Mr. Trautwein's career has been parlaying his knowledge to students at the University of Louisville.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Trautwein credits his success to his writing and public speaking abilities, which he honed as a high school student. Within the next five years, he intends to continue lobbying on healthcare issues in the DC area as an independent consultant or as a member of a prominent trade association.
