Addabbo Family Health Center. From 2014 to 2016, he was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare Inc.
One of his most notable achievements was during his tenure as Chief Financial Officer at Selfhelp Community Services from 2000 to 2014. Under Mr. Breitstein's leadership using a team-based model and accepting mentorship from Stuart Kaplan, CEO, the organization grew from a $37 million entity to a $100 million+ powerhouse. He attributes this success to his innate ability to work well with everyone and his dedication to meeting organizational goals. Earlier in his career, he served as Controller at St. Mary's Hospital for Children from 1998 to 2000 and as Director of Finance at Project OHR Inc. from 1992 to 1997.
Mr. Breitstein's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting from Pace University Lubin School of Business in 1982 and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Central Florida in 2017. He also holds a certification in technology management from MIT School of Management. He credits his success to hard work, drive, helping others, lessons imparted by his father, a Holocaust survivor, by continuous learning, even from mistakes made, and perseverance.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Breitstein has been an associate member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants since 2013.
